Our farm
The khejri is Rajasthan's state tree. It needs almost no water, enriches the sandy soil, and gives us sangri, the thin pods that go into every proper ker-sangri. We kept the old khejri trees on our land and started planting date palms between them in 2024.
Each palm is on drip irrigation, so every drop reaches the roots in our sandy soil. Between the palm rows we grow the crops this land has always grown: bajra and guar in the monsoon, wheat and mustard in winter, and peanut on the light soil.
